If you click on the underlined Road Conditions in your last reply, you will be able to search the SA Desert region, including Mt. Dare.

All roads showing green at present.

As conditions change the Road Conditions will reflect the most current situation.

Mt Dare is the best bet, but you can almost be guaranteed that it will still be corrugated and slow, it is a non maintained track.
I like driving it most times though, love the stop at the ruins and even Perdika siding, as I'm usually taking people that haven't been up that way before.

We have just returned from Simpson desert crossing what an amazing place. We where at Dalhousie on Monday 16th we had to go to Mt Dare as public access track closed. Also spoke to grader driver at Hamilton and he advised road would not be reopened any time soon, road from pink roadhouse to Mt Dare was excellent has just been graded.

Cool, have never heard of Perdika Tk being touched !!
Are you sure that was being graded ?
Sounds like it is, as you were at both ends, so awesome, that should last a few years unless fools drive on it when wet.

Ah, when you said 'public access track closed' I thought it was the Perdika Tk PAR you were referring to.

Did you hear why Perdika Tk was closed by chance ?
