Good evening all

Looking for advise/comments regarding a canopy for the tub.

I would like it to have wing windows and be capable of taking a rear end boat loader and a 53kg 10' tinny.

Any help wood be appreciated. I will be buying in Adelaide if I can find what I want.

Hi Boo Boo,

I don't believe you can go past an ARB canopy.
I have had one fitted to my 2009 Colorado almost since new and love it. I have the lift up windows which are the most practical for easy access.
You can have an internal frame included (which I have) which will support the boat loader and tinny. The only other addition required is a vent accessory to enable pressurisation for dusty conditions.
You can check with ARB what the load carrying capacity is with the frame support included but I think it will carry the load you have specified.

Not sure of the brand but I think it is ARB, they make a canopy that integrates with the central locking system on the Colorado. Beats unlocking 5 or six locks for access to various areas.

Hi BooBoo,
I agree with Bill, & yes as Notso said ARB do have one that integrates with your central locking.
Cheers.

Thanks for the impute gentlemen.

I have spoken to the Regent Park store in Adelaide and they gave me a price of around $3750 fitted.

This includes the internal frames and 2 roof bars.

It can be fitted on the 11/6.

The Accent was a $1000 dearer.

Hi Boo Boo, I have a 2014 Colorado with an ARB canopy. It was on the vehicle when I bought it. I saw a Flexiglas canopy on a "Collie" today & I think it is a a more user friendly. I had the opening out windows both sides & of course the rear opening window. I know Flexiglass have been around for awhile. I contacted them earlier this year about the canopy on my Navara & they were very friendly & helpful. I have no idea what price a canopy would be from Flexiglass but the ARB was a very expensive item Hope this helps Robert.

Agree on the Flexiglass, Boo.

We put one on an '82 Hilux dual cab we'd bought new. Didn't have lift up windows back then, but never had one problem with it. Rear door locking mechanism was a bit agricultural but am sure they've remedied that by now.

If was so strong I reckon you could nearly put a boat up there, without any internal supports. :-)
