intercooler for GQ 2.8 Patrol

Hi looking for an intercooler for 2.8 Nissan patrol. No longer stocked apparently so wonder if anyone knows where I could find one, new or second hand cheers

Try 4WD wreckers such as 3WJ in
Sydney, or local yellow pages, they may be able to help

I am not familiar with the GQ 2.8, but are you able to use theintercooler from the GU 2.8/3.0/4.2 engines?
Another option may be to have your old unit recored, similar to radiator. There are
places around that do this. Might pay to go through your local YP.

No longer stocked by who? Doubt if you'll find one through Nissan for a GQ because they never came out with them. I'd be very surprised if you couldn't get one from a GU 2.8 from Nissan. Safari used to make an aftermarket Intercooler and again would be surprised if you still couldn't get one from them. Front mounted as opposed to the Nissan variant (no need for a bonnet scoop mod). As mentioned and as published in the magazines, the 4.2 has the same Intercooler, you'd just have to do some custom piping and mounts. Forget the 3.0 GU, totally different.
