Hi "Navaraman",
Pt Lincoln NP was great - we went into Memory Cove ( have to book at NP office ) and then we went to Black Spring in Coffin Bay NP .
There was a small bit of sand driving to get into Black Spring , but it was a nice spot to get further away from the hoards . However , if I went back , I would stay somewhere like the campground before B.Spring because it gives you better access for day trips to the rest of the Park .
One place you want to spend some time is Cape Avoid . To stand on the cliff here and look out is to count yourself lucky to be alive - it is just the most beautiful place .

Thanks for that Willie, Cape Avoid is on my list of places to visit. Glad you enjoyed your stay in SA. Hope you left a few whiting for me.

Willie,

How did the fishing go. Did you get further up the west coast or did you only get to Coffin Bay.

There are a few members in SA probably more based in Adelaide than over there.

Hi David ,
We did not do much fishing , although we went out with some nice fellas in their two tinnies at Venus Bay and caught over 60 King George whiting in two hours . Many of them were 30 cm - legal , and they were superb to eat .
I can't see that sort of fishing lasting to long as I think the bag limit is 20 fish person and a max of 60 per boat . I saw people with huge freezers
which they were going to fill with fish and take home . I saw four guys with 20 kg of pippies ( cockles ) for bait . Rape and pillage .

I just realised the other day that after (modifying) my exaust with an angle grinder my sticker had become half covered with tojo diesel soot!! Oops!
Cleaned now, will have to keep an eye on it now that my exaust spews smoke onto it.
Had to shorten and re-shape the tail end of the exaust as I kept squashing it.

Only 600 or so members on EO....that's spreading them a bit thin over the continent. Most members reside in the Big Smokes apart from JohnR, Bob Y, Ruth D, Des Lexik, Big Trev, Coops, m'self and a few others. It is a big ask to find one sticker. I too look at all the 4x4's driving down our main street but have yet to see an EO sticker.

Cheers

Interesting we have dispatched over 14,000 stickers and we cannot even go to the shops without spotting them. Yesterday I dropped Leah at DayCare and saw one vehicle. We went shopping on Monday and saw three and one with spare wheel cover.

But note that we send out stickers with every order in the shop and we send them to trade shows and some outback localtions.

Willie,

Didn't see any on trip to Kakadu, last October either. Had a hire car on holidays, in which we did >4K clicks around Brissy, and down the Pacific H'wy to Blue Mountains, and back up new England.
Never saw one, but imagine it would be difficult to spot any that are on rear windows of on-coming traffic.

Understand there may have been a few in Birdsville this week.

Hooroo...

Seen it all, Done it all.
Can't remember most of it.

We do know that a lot of people do not put stickers on their vehicles for personal reasons however out of 14000 I would have expected you to see some, we do all the time in Perth & surrounds.

David/Michelle, What sort of personal reasons would stop anyone from putting a sticker on the back of their 4by?

Just ask anyone of the thousands of non stickered 4WD's. We ask every now and then and get some outstanding reasons. Too many to list but the most popular is "My husband does not put stickers on his vehicle" - truth.
