Does anyone have any experience with butane gas can lights? The light looks very similar to the normal Gas bottle ones which you can put on a pole from the gas bottle, the exception is this one has a connection direct to a butane gas can. I bought it at a camping show on the NSW central coast and it is made in Japan (with japanese writing on the hard plastic case it comes in.) Unfortunately after one too many red wines by the camp fire, I dropped the light as I went to light it and broke the glass!! The glass is 9cm by 9cm and I have phoned around most of the major camping stores and even a specialist light company in Sydney and they all tell me that there are three sizes (sm, med and large) for the gas light glass. None of these sizes fit. This sizing I need is in between the small and medium one. Has anyone ever found a replacement glass for these lights?

Coleman make a siilar light to the one you describe. If you take your light to Kangaroo Tent City at Tuggerah they may be able to help.
