Any tips - any definite haftoo's for a two week trip between
Exmouth and
Coral Bay?
I've checked out the Explore Oz archives and the Yardie
Creek Run page, but any more tips on good
camping spots are very welcome. I know it'll be crowded for the next few weeks, but that's just the way it goes I s'pose - if anyone can explain to my better half what 'school holidays' means, by all means give it a shot!
Cheers,
David.

David,
There are very nice
camping spots along that coast particularly in
Cape Range National Park but can be a real headache during school holidays and you would be very lucky to get in at
Coral bay without a booking. There are a few good
camping spots South of Yardie
Creek on
Ningaloo station---no facilities.A place worth having a look at is Warroora station,South of
Coral bay as there is good
camping on the coast there at very reasonable rates.Be prepared to be "ripped off" for everything at
Coral BAY SO TAKE IN WHAT YOU NEED.Good luck--
Sunseeker

Thanks for the tips, lack of facilities isn't a problem as we're set up for
bush camping. With a bit of luck most people will be heading home before Anzac Day and our second week will be a bit less crowded.

Plenty of
camping spots in
Ningaloo Station, small fee. Winderabandi Bay is good, just south of the NP, at the northen end of
Ningaloo stn.
Worth checking out, besides the reef, are:
-Cloates Point lighthouse
ruins
-
Whaling station ruins at Norwegian Bay
-Paddle up Yardie
Creek (we used an inflatable - no power boats allowed)
-
Ningaloo Rock Hole
-
Cape Range
Take plenty of fresh
water, but we used sea
water for washing up/showering, saving heaps of fresh stuff.
Magic place!!
