Cape York trip?

Would like to know if anyone has been up to the Cape recently and what the conditions are like?
I am planning a trip in early July and at the moment may being heading up there by myself from
Sydney.
Just thought I might see if there is anyone else heading up to the Cape in early to mid July that I might be able to hook up with.
I plan on taking my time and spending up to 1 month in the region.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Sydney 10 Aug for the Cape ,For 4 weeks round trip
Travelling with another party whom have done the Cape twice , We are locked in for this date if your flexible and can leave later than you have planned,Drop us a note at shepxxxx@aol.com ( more the merrier )
