We are interested in purchasing a roof rack for our 80 series and wondered about suppliers in the Adelaide area. Are basket racks the best and do they come with full length side supports? Any comments please.

There's a bloke in our 4x4 club (on the Yorke Peninsula north of Adelaide) who was saying the other day that he is selling his 80 series roof rack (he saw the light and bought a Patrol).
If you wish, I will pass your phone number or email addy on to him.
I think it's a ARB steel rack.
Cheers,
Roachie

Hi
Nice stainless 3/4 rack with tarp/cover (ARB replica) to suit an 80 on ebay.com.au at the moment for 400 bux. Might be in your area. Put in 80 series on the ebay search

If you want a bit of flexibility and not a one-piece rack, Rhino and Rola make good systems for around $400 for 3 bars

Helen,
I am in Sydney and I have an alloy rack from Formula 4WD for sale for $200.00.
It is 4' x 4 ' ( not the really big one ) . I bought a 100 Series and it does not fit .
Regards ,
Willie .

Thanks, Willie, but that would be a bit small for us. We were looking for a full size one.
Cheers
Helen.
