Hello All,
Is it possible to get a external antenna for a Garmin ETrex. Someone mentioned that you can get a antenna that does not hook up to the unit but is suppose to help with the reception... Not sure on this..
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Mark

I bought one from GPS-OZ at the
Sydney 4WD show for $135 - it is a re-radiating one and works
well.

I've heard reports that the re-radiating RA-45 is good. Being active (powered) it should throw a good signal into the cab....Lowrance sell a passive unit (no boost)as an accessory for certain of their models at around $300 !! Reckon I know which one I'd try.

I have a re- rad antenna for my garmin etrex vista as I have a heated windscreen that stops almost all my reception to the gps The re-rad antenna was the best £25 Ihave spent on it.
