Providing you have active tracking data, when you select EOTrackme - My Tracking, you should see your track overlayed on a map.

You then have the option of downloading the tracking data in one of several formats, save the data, or clear the data.

I have downloaded my recent outback trip in OziExplorer format so I can load it into OziExplorer and play around with it.

Once you have selected save however, the track data is copied into a file and the active display disappears. You can retrieve this data, but not edit it.

Bill,

There is actually more editing functions in the saved data than the active taking data as you can delete points from user treks (but there is a small problem with this at the moment, I'm working on it).

Thanks for the heads up David.

My comment was based on my trip last year to the Kimberley, where a glitch with my iPhone 4S showed a phantom trip to Perth and back and another to Brisbane and back.
You advised at the time that the saved data could not be edited.

Does this mean I could retrieve this saved trip from user treks and edit it now?

Bill,

Yes you should (if it is working - which I think it is but have had a report) be able to edit the user trek lines. Simply open the User Trek to the map view then click on the line that contains the error - in the pop up will be an link to Edit Points (or something like these words). Click this and in the LHS of the page will come up a list of all points that have created that line o the map - find the errors and click the trash can to delete them.

Have a go and let me know how you get on - if it fails I will have to investigate but it would be worth letting me know the point numbers (will be shown in the list) that you want to delete so I can use the trek for testing.

David,

I accessed my User Trek for the Kimberley in 2014 and low and behold, the phantom side trips from Broom to Perth and Broome to Brisbane are not shown.
At the time I saved this trek, you advised that it was not possible (for me) to edit the data once saved, but perhaps you or one of the EO staff did it.
Your original advice was that the extraneous data was a glitch, possibly with the iPhone 4S hardware.

Anyway, now the trek appears to show our actual route.

If you save your tracking it goes to User Treks

It is also available from your My Public Profile what is in the header under the profile button.

Just had a look at your profile and you have a number of saved Treks - I wonder if it came up with an error but saved the data anyway. In your current tracking there is only a single point and this will throw and error as there is nothing really to save when only a single point in in the active list.
