Hey Truckster,
I didn't know you were into model trains too. I've just given away a second "job" of building up Footplate kits of NSWGR steam locos for people. Over a period from about late 1990 to 2002 I built approx 260 kits (including air brushing etc). The most of any type of kit I ever built was the AD60 class Beyer Garrett and did 66 of those suckers.
4 wheeling has now taken over as the major part of my recreational life, and all my own models are in mothballs.
Cheers mate

Yea I model N Scale, Yank stuff usually, but got This! and another on layby for birthday. This one is white metal kit, the other is Brass.

This is my latest project, its at the wiring stage, and I got myself all lost! But now have it sorted out.

Now tryin to find some logging cars to go with it.. I found These, and these but gettin them here is $$.. :( Nobody in Aussie has them :(

G'Day Truckster,
Thanks for the advice, I will try E/bay. I will need to go through all my gear to sort out what's there. I've not touched it for about 2 or 3 years, since dis-assembling the two set-ups.
The rattlers are worth $350 to me. There's one power carrage & one roller. I will give you more details on the rest of the gear after I'm been though it all.
Regards,
Bazza.

We'll be in Melbourne, from Tassie, at that time, Truckster, and we're both into model trains (HO, but looking at N gauge). Hadn't planned on renting a car as we're staying in St. Kilda on the tram line. Is the venue accessible by train?

Cheers Alleycat

You can get a train from town to Wantirna station.. its only about 50-100 mtrs from there

go here, and try Boronia Road Wantirna, and look for a train station it will come up with another window with 2 options, take the first one, it will then come up with a map..

G'Day Truckster,
You may be able to help me out please. I once dabbled in HO gauge and am thinking of selling some of it. Can you recommend a club's site that I can advertise some gear ...engines, rolling stock, track ...ect.ect. I have nice pair of Sydney Red Rattlers that someone may be interested in.
Regards,
Bazza.

Bazza,
The mag called "AMRM" (Australian Model Railway Magazine) has a good trader section and I think their rates are reasonable.
If you check out your local newsagent, they should have a copy from which you could jot the address down without buying a copy (perhaps). Otherwise, if you want, I can look it up at home; I have about 400 copies dating back to the 1960's.

Dont bother with AMRM.. I tried and things are too out of date by the time the magazine gets here.

EBAY!!! Trust me.. You will make heaps.

What sort of $ you lookin for the 2 red rattlers?? Wouldnt mind for our club layout when the N is down!

what else you have.. let me know Might be interested.
