Hi ho all..having fun out there ??
planning July - Sept '16 WA trip and wish to travel east-west on the Butcher's Track which links into
Carnarvon -
Mullewa Rd approx 12km north of Murchison Oasis Rd house.
Last XplOz data is 2012..any recent travellers out there that maybe able to update track condition ??
From google maps it's
well sign posted each end, which usually indicates a maintained road..+/- a few corrugations on the day.
cheers

Sorry ours is not a recent report but we travelled that track in 09. Then it was a
well graded sandy track with very few corros. Country there is fairly flat and not too much to see in the way of scenery.
Cheers.

G,day Pete, Butchers track is a
well maintained road, gravelly at the Murchison end then hard based graded sand further west. Usually in good nick to service the
gas pipeline.
Cheers, Sparra

I drove the road west to east in Jan 2015. Was great no issues all the way from West coast hwy to Murchison settlement. Average speed was 80kms. Could go faster, but...... not knowing the road and was in no race to go anywhere. Did find a vehicle that had run off the road a couple days before I drove the road. Reported it to the guy at Murchison settlement, and he stated the people in the vehicle were stranded there for 3 days.
