HI GUY'S
JUST A QUICK QUESTION. I OWN A NOVEMBER 2002 MITSUBISHI CHALLENGER. HAVE HAD IT LIFTED 50MM, FITTED COOPER ST TYRES, A REAR LOCKER, BULLBAR, AND HAVING A SNORKEL FITTED NEXT WEEK. ANYWAY THATS BESIDE THE POINT. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE IS AWARE OF ANY 4WD CLUBS ON BRISBANE'S NORTH SIDE. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS ONE AT BALD HILLS SOMEWHERE. ANY BODY KNOW OF THIS CLUB OR ANY OTHERS, AS I AM PRETTY KEEN IN JOINING ONE, BUT THEY ARE HARD TO TRACK DOWN.

Murfa,
Hows your Challenger going?
If you have a look on the left hand side under topic search/Club listings you will see a few clubs listed for qld. might be a starting point

Hey there,
the challengers running fantastically. I have not had a minutes trouble with it since I picked it up from mitsubishi. Unfortunatly to many people underestamate the ability of this vehicle, and seem to bag it, but my self owning, hopefully like yourself no what these vehicles can do. I really has surprised me. in stock form it was great, with the couple off extras I have added exceptional. The only complaint I have is trying to find a snorkel for it, but I have TJM modifying the MK triton snorkel for me from airteck, but what was suppost to be a 2 week job has now taken 4 weeks, and still waiting....... I will let you know how I go. have you had the LR tank fitted...what mods.......I'm looking form more ideas, and mods to add...

Hi Murfa,
Unfortunately I haven't had any mods done to it yet, getting ove a couple of knee ops which has slowed me down a bit. Have given the treasurer an ultimatum that everything has got to happen before xmas

Moreton Districts Offroad Club. http://www.moretondistricts.org.au/

Great club, good bunch of people, very safety concious, good challenging trips.

I am not a member but have been on a few of their trips and will join once we settle in or around Brisbane. We are too much like nomads at present to join any more clubs.

Hi Murfa,

The Bald Hills 4x4 group meet in one of the school halls of the Bald Hills State School in Bald Hills Road (near the railway line) on the 3rd or 4th Friday each month. They organise driver training and group activities.

Murfa,
I also have a 2002 Challenger, I have a 50mm Lift and Cooper AT's on mine as I could find an Insurance company to insure me with the ST's something about the load rating is not high enough.
Anyway I am interested as to where you got the Rear diff lock from and how much? Also the Snorkel, who is doing it for you exactly, which TJM Store?? As I cannot get anyone up here (Sunshine Coast) to fit one. Also how much are they charging to adapt it to fit?? Tell them they will have another customer to do so make a template while they are doing yours.

Thanks for your help??

Richard
