A little confused here doing the Big Red Bash. coming
home via
Birdsville Track to
Leigh Creek then doing the opposite direction back up the Strz Track to
Innamincka,
Cameron Corner then back to the black hole (Oops sorry I mean
Sydney). Do I need a pass??

Hi Lou
Short answer......No
At Innmincka,
camp in the common, only $5 a night, and you can
camp right in the edge of the Cooper.
Have a great time away in one great country.
Cheers
Stephen

I wonder how NPs manage that because the road in and the
camp site is on Anna Creek land, not in the National Park which starts at the lake edge.

Level Post Bay is a PAR (Public Access Route) no cost at all to traverse out there and back,as long as it's open (dry).
Muloorina (ph 08 8675 8386) will advise if it's open.
Yes, you pay them to
camp there, the RFDS gets it I believe ?

Out of interest, I know the Desert Parks pass is only for South Australian parks and this does include the
Innamincka Regional Reserve. With the Dig Tree actually in Queensland, what's in the Reserve worth seeing that the pass covers?

Yes it includes Inna Reg Res, but of course
the Dig Tree is on
Nappa Merrie property.
We went out there some years ago, was only a charge to
camp ?

You can drive right out to
Poeppel Corner if you like, the DPP is only needed if you go into SA and the
Simpson Desert Conservation Park.
