Can anyone provide any
feedback on the Poplar CP in Camden?
We need to stay in
Sydney in July and stayed at the
Sydney Tourist Park last time.
Dearest and worst park we have stayed in in all of our trips.
I welcome your thoughts if you have stayed in Camden.
Thank you.

Have not stayed there but the park at Lane Cove gets a good write up.

I live only a few km from there and drive past quite often. It is a riverside site, lots of trees, lush green sites. Living so close, I haven't stayed there myself, but many of our visitors with vans have, and they all report
well on it.
Lots to see in the area. To get to
Sydney, drive 30 minutes to
Macarthur station and take a 1 hour train ride. Or brace yourself for the M5
carpark. A stupid "motorway" that always has an accident, roadworks or some kind of blockage often making a one hour trip into two. The train is a better option, but beware, I am informed that the once free Westfield shoppers car park at
Macarthur station is no longer free after 3 hours, so an all day park may cost you. (The adjacent commuters car park is overfull by 8 am and becomes not an option if you intend to park later in the morning. Might pay to investigate that to confirm.)
Cheers

Stayed there 3 years ago. Clean facilities, dog friendly and close to town centre. Fair amount of road noise particularly early morning with workers heading off to the Big Smoke but then it is
Sydney. Would stay there again if nothing has changed.

Comments on Wikicamps are favourable.
I suggest you get the Wikicamps app for your smart phone for future use.

Thanks Rod.
Have had Wikicamps for several years. Was double-checking on this
forum as I have found it so accurate over many years.
Cheers, Gary

Stayed there twice this year as my daughter lives near by. Basic, clean, friendly, reasonably priced. Have to pay extra for power, depends what you run.
