Good afternoon fellow travellers, we are thinking of going to yenyening lake for the long weekend. We haven't been able to get much information about campsites or even if we can get our van in there.
would some helpful people be able to fill us in on some detail of the area please.
thank you
Broody H 3

Comments on other sites say that Yornanning Lake is now day only.
Maybe a call to Cuballing Shire would clarify.

Signage at Yornaning
Dam says that the site is not a designated
camping area, and that full facilities for caravanners are available at Laze Away
Farm Stay. It doesn't say No Camping.
YenYening Lake is full of water and there is plenty of bird life there at present. The only signage we saw refers to rules for skiing and boating. The road in is gravel and suitable for caravans
We were filming in both areas few weeks ago.
cheers
Laurie

Hi Brodie H3 might be an idea to
check out Lake Yealering top spot small country town very friendly. Has a fantastic caravan park with all the modern facilities, pub about 300 meters with cold beer and great meals if required. General store , bowls etc all within walking distance. If you are into walking you can go around the lake, bird watch, swim or boating all good.
Wildflowers just starting to come out , canola in full flower wheat ,barley and lupin crops to look at. But then again I may be biased l live here!

Well Lyncol,
It would appear as though you may get some visitors over the long week end, it sounds to us like the perfect spot to set up
camp and do a bit of walking and photography at the same time. From what I have seen of the country side and the proximity of other towns we could even go exploring;
So If you see a ford
ranger towing a twenty four foot Atlantic caravan, come and say Gooday, we like meeting new people. thank you for the heads up.

We don't live at Lake Yealering, were just visitors, but agree completely that it is a top spot to visit. It's all as Lyncol states.

Sounds like a great place. If you go there, it'd be great if you could add it as a place on Exploroz, with some photos and commentary.
