If you a little underwhelmed over the lack of response, try putting some Year 4 English into play, such as punctuation, spelling and some sort of sentence together that won't leave the rest of us trying to google translate your query. Or otherwise try calling a couple of roadhouses up at he Cape and ask them.
If you can't afford block ice that some poor bastard in a truck has had to drag up there, then you can't afford to travel ie think of if you unfortunately break down. 2 litres of fuel up there will cover your block ice costs for a couple of days.

You can get block ice at Bamaga and Seisia, as for the price I wouldn't know.

I'd give Bamaga Roadhouse a call... Id be surprised if they didn't sell it.
If your passing into Weipa, no doubt there will be some there.

Depending on how long your stay is in the Cape, you could certainly stock up at Mareeba/Lakeland/Cooktown and if your only up there for a week you could chance it. I've kept 100/120L Evakool esky's with 2 or 3 big block ice for 7 days easy at places around the Cape. Very handy for breaking up into smaller esky's or boat trips up creeks, esky's on quad bikes etc. Just drain the water regularly and keep it in good shade. The quality of the esky is probably the deciding factor!

Whilst my reply may seem harsh, it wasn't a personal attack. I stand by it as I believe in a bit of forum etiquette in spelling and punctuation. You don't need to be a Rhodes scholar to do this. We all make typos, and come undone with Autocorrect at times.
Not everyone can afford a car fridge. Although we now have a 40l Engel, dual battery etc we lived with a mid size Troppo Box esky for years and in Darwin we could keep block ice for 2-3 days no problems, if you kept it out of the sun and didn't open it every 5 minutes. At times we also made a slurry using salt.
But, if you are heading to the Cape, then asking if ice is available is a valid query if you don't have a fridge. Googling a few roadhouses and giving them a call will give you your most accurate answer, cost shouldn't matter in the overall scheme of things. It will be negligible compared to fuel, accommodation, food, barge crossings etc etc etc. Hope this helps.

Things I have learnt from this thread (aswell as another)....
#1- when using the phrase "Hey bud" instead of the users name, you can say what you like because it no longer becomes personal
#2 - make sure you have all your spelling and punctuation correct in your posts, or the grammar Nazis will come after you (I'm sure they will mark my reply accordingly)
#3 - teachers today aren't there to teach
#4 - pointing out other peoples faults is essential
#5 - when visiting Cape York (which is where the OP stated they are going) you can no longer go camping without a fridge in your vehicle, it is essential.
#6 - somewhere in the drivel if you look hard enough, it was mentioned that block ice is available at Bamaga and Seisa....just don't buy it from anyone that is wearing thongs and has tattoos on them, that ice will likely make your vehicle rust out.

A few worked up souls on this great forum. So let's go through a couple of things; if you find a spelling mistake then that's great, but sorry, I'm all out of gold star stickers at the moment.

If my original post was so offensive I'm sure it would have been pulled. But Trump hasn't pressed his big button yet, and stock market held so all good. If some here read my other post you'll see that my view (only my view, not gospel) that some sort of coherence is respectful to other forum folks.

If the term "Hey bud" is offensive then so be it. If you are offended, nothing actually happens to you, you are just offended. Good for you. In our family we call each other Bud all the time, then every name under the sun at other times. Some people are offended with eradicating Cane Toads because it's mean, so you can't please everyone. By the way, If you aren't into being offensive, and your purpose in life is political correctness I hear the Commonwealth Games are hiring at the moment.

English: the number of job applications I get at work from people whom are battling to get their name right, let alone having any level of written English is astonishing, yet feel entitled to the $80k job. I have been fortunate enough to have a few gigs overseas for 12 months + at a time in a number of countries and had to learn verbal and written communication in the native language and it's bloody hard work, but if you make the effort.....

Last; in both my posts, whilst being honest with my views on posting with some level of grammatical English for the benefit of fellow forum users, I have offered suggestions to the OP query on block ice. This is contrary to other replies whom have offered a spray of their views on my comment without providing anything close to an answer to the OP. I don't think the mods or any of us want this, and if you are feeling angry, alas, help is available.

Now, time for that Commonwealth Games Volunteers application and I hope the OP has made a few phone calls about his ice. Not everyone is in the position to buy a fridge, but if you are worried about a dollar or 2 on a big trip then should you be considering such a trip.

There is also Bramwell Station and I’d be surprised if they don’t have ice also.
