Wonderful news. With the upgrade to vector maps, does that mean Oziexplorer will also be upgraded?
Cheers
Jon

David, Have been a member a long long time, and love my Garmin Nuvi2797. When will you have
EOTopo for Garmin users?. Yes I can buy Topo Maps from GPS Oz in
Sydney but they are a bit cost prohibitive at $240. I currently use Shonky Maps but they are a bit out of date 2007 I think. I mean, they are quite good and haven't let me down and outback tracks don't change that much except maybe road re-alignments but a new version would be good.

I have no clue what the format is but I know the current crop of formats do not work on Garmin, some of the Computer techos here may know.

In MM we expect to be offering the same 2018 raster sets that we are releasing in OZF4 and ECW ie. the Standard 200k and the Premium 144K. The 18k is only available in
EOTopo online - either in your browser or in the
ExplorOz Traveller app.

Will any of the amendments I submitted through the
feedback system be incorporated?
Will an update be forthcoming early 2019 to incorporate the major road construction around
Toowoomba (
Toowoomba Second Range Crossing) and other areas?
The online map is already out of date.

Not to mention the Pacific Highway upgrades, notably the new
bridge and road at
Macksville.

The Adventure Way to
Innamincka has been sealed to at least the border for a number of years. Also it disappears from the map unless zoomed in to at least level 12. I am not sure if the alignment has been corrected. It was out in several
places when I submitted a GPS track a few years ago.

We've actually just added the roads under construction layer so yes these are included in the 2018 update. As of 3 days ago (Friday) we halted where we were at in the tile generation process to include this layer and a few other tweaks we noted during the Level 13 to 14 and upwards online publication so that's the good news. The bad news is that this has put a short delay in the tile generation process - we are now 4 days behind our schedule but still on track for January completion of online maps and February release of all raster data.

Thanks Michelle. I realize it is a big job. I wait with baited breath to see what the final version looks like as I have noted several other things on the current online version that need to be corrected, most notably some significant roads that disappear at less than 12 zoom while minor roads remain.

If the
EOTopo 2018 online map is the same as that at present online then I would rather wait a few more months for it to be brought up to date.
I hope the Offline
EOTopo 2018 is better than the present on line map. I find the older 200K version better than the new one although some details may be lacking.
BTW I have had no acknowledgement of my submission of
feedback when
EOTopo 2018 was first mentioned some time ago.
