Can Anybody who has travelled this part of the track over the past month tell about road conditions for 4WD & camper trailer

Hi Solodeb

We have not driven it recently, but a number of times over the years.

Like any outback country road, they do not change much over time with the big exception if it is wet.......then keep away.

It's a great interesting drive and while passing by, the small detour to the Mac Clarke Reserve is worth the drive.

Heading south from Old Andado you will see a few good bog holes that have caught people out when it is wet.

Enjoy the drive.

Cheers

Stephen

Drove it about 6 weeks ago, great drive mostly good track, didn’t see any other traffic. Some bulldust holes between mount dare and andado, not a problem though.

we did some of it recently, but avoided the section from Mt Dare, as last time the bull dust was so deep one of our company got bogged very badly. They said at Mt Dare it was still pretty bad. We went onto the Old Andado via a longer route, but still a fair bit of bull dust was experienced along the way, but none bad enough to bog us. Just ask when you get there.

Did Binns last year, was informed by other travellers to travel west to blood creek, then turn east to Mt Dare instead of following binns track, as that 25km section was rocky and rough.... we had no issues in landcruisers with the tracks, well maintained to rutty but ok. Found blood creek has a working windmill, 1 of 2 i seen in my whole trip

Just back from that area. The Mt Dare-Dalhousie "shortcut" is really rough & rocky till you hit the park boundary, then it improves as the road has been recently graded. We managed to cut a sidewall on the Tvan on the rocky section. We came back the other way - it's also corrugated but doesn't have the long rocky section.
