Looked up google earth as per reply, so the info bay in the area you said is that where you are talking about. lf so that would mean that the carvings are behind it in the bush, is that correct.

Thanks Murray

No, about 300 metres up the road on the right hand side. You will see a small granite rock out crops and possibly a little track going in about 50 metres.

Walk through there and you will find it.

To be honest, there wouldn't be much more than 50 people that know they exist little lone where they are.

Given that 150 kms down the road you have indigenous Rock art dating back over 50,000 years that tell stories of the oldest continuous living culture, These few carvings done by a Japanese guys about 20 years ago don't really seem significant.

Anyway, enjoy your trip and I hope you find them, they are spread out for about 100 metres along the out crop.

Modern rock carvings in Kakadu - isn't that the same as graffiti?

Hi Motherhen, they aren’t in Kakadu. They are near the Bark Hut Inn some 50 kms from Kakadu.
All good.

Graffiti or not, look up wild rice by Mitsuaki Tanabe as it's an interesting read.
20 years work is not graffiti to me.
