G'day, planning on leaving a camper trailer in
Alice Springs for about 8 days in July, any recommendations for where to leave it. Fridge will still be stocked, so somewhere not under cover or with power.

Is that , you don’t need/want cover or power? You’ve got solar?
Edit; I get it , you need one or the other!

Given that you've got so much notice wouldn't it be more efficient to leave your frig empty for 8 days?
One less thing to worry about while you're away.

Hi
John and Jan,
A number of years ago we had to return to
Sydney for a week breaking our round Australia trip. We had already booked into the Big 4 - MacDonnell Range Holiday Park so we asked them about leaving our Cruiser and Tvan. They had a secure place for storage as it appears that it is not an uncommon problem for travellers visiting The Alice. There was a nominal fee I racall. But no power. As others have suggested best to empty that fridge. We have always found the MacDonnell Range Park to be a great place to stay, however you do need to book
well ahead as it does get extremely busy especially at that time of the year. Enjoy your travels!

We left our car/Tvan there for a few days 2 years ago. They had an area down the back where there were quite a few stored. It was in direct sun so if you can leave the solar panels out you might be able to keep the fridge running.
