Coopers Creek or Fosters Creek? They both exist in Tassie so worth a shot :-)

you blokes need to get out more.
It was used in a Boags Beer ad in the Tassie newspaper.
I recognised the rocks in the photo and sent Boags mine, which they reckoned was ok.
They had a footy team at this place as well.

You need more clues,
By 1898 hundreds of men were employed constructing a railway and company facilities, including 3 long wharves, a sawmill, brickworks and an ore crushing plant.
Put this place on your bucket list

Hey B1B2
Have I missed something? I'd love to know what your "water" photo is all about.

Cheers

Jim ,
I haven't revealed the place yet but added another clue.

I am amazed no one has picked it.

Stay Safe,

Peter,
Well done!! I thought you would know the place.
It is East Pillinger and the one of the converging streams is the Bird River.
It is part of the Macquarie Harbour Historic Site, if you are in Tassie you must check it out.

Still Staying at Home - 103 days and plenty to do.

We were a bit higher than most vehicles that drive to Bird River Bridge. :) But an easy drive.
It is a good day trip including the walk to Kelly Basin and back.

Cheers,
Peter

Peter,
I forgot to mention that problem, as you say an easy drive in if you are not too high.

Is this the Franklin River, where you need to get the key to the gate from the ranger?

Cheers,
Bill

Yes, the Mount McCall Track.
You need a vehicle inspection by the Ranger at Queenstown to ensure that the underside is free of seed carrying dirt and he will give you the key to the gate.
A wonderful drive with breath-taking views of Frenchmans Cap. It is the only track that penetrates the Franklin Gordon Wild Rivers National Park that is accessible to the public.
It terminates just a hundred metres from the Franklin, but it is almost vertical and the river is almost invisible, but it is possible to scramble down.
It was built for the proposed dam and is where the anti dam protests took place. We spent one night in there.

Bird River Bridge is only about 10K to the west.
