Thanks for that Ruth. I had a look at the website. I liked the direct line routes especially the one across Lake Eyre!

There was one here on Friday - and, it had stickers all over it so I checked it out. It won 1st place in the Round the World in 80 Days in 2000 and took part in the 99, 98, 97 rallies as well. Maybe they'd sell it to you. Had victorian plates.

Thanks for the reply Ruth , my question was really a throwaway remark Lol.
Amazing to see that there is still one of these cars around after all these years.
Who needs a 4x4 when you could use a Hillman Hunter instead! Lol. Regards G.T.

GT, I got a bit busy at the time but managed to see -
1 Hillman
2 Porsche (1 broke down later)
1 Mustang
2 Renault
1 Morris 1000 (girls car)
1 Escort (which subsequently rolled later in the day - all o.k. but ripped the mudguard off)
1 MG (towed back to Birdsville for all night session and left this a.m. early to catch the others)
- that was all I saw.
Windorah last night and Roma tonight, then Noosa, Port Macquarie and Sydney.
