Hi everyone, looking for suggestions for bush/ beach camping spot on the
Yorke Peninsular SA. Seems to be a lot options. Are some camping areas better than others for an off-road camper trailer. Travelling from WA in a fortnight time ( hopefully, on the way to quick visit to
Adelaide to see family) .
Cheers Mike ( Mike’s 4K Productions) .

Depends on your preferences.
The west coast and "foot" tends to be more spectacular. You must visit Innes NP (but leave the drone in the car).

Not as lenient in SA about droning in National Parks in SA. WA it is allowed as long as you follow CASA rules. Was suggested as I have a youtube channel that has drone footage in some of my videos

We live on
the arch of the foot looking out to KI. It is a constant stream of caravans/campers going east & west. One of my wife's friends works at Innes NP & they have been booked solid for months, so if you were thinking of staying there I'd ring first but still good for a day trip. My opinion for bush
camp sites would probably be
Wauraltee Beach, Barkers Rocks or Sturt Bay all need a permit from local council and I don't think any have any facilities. We have some interstate friends staying at Sturt Bay and they are happy with the location. Another one at
Foul Bay haven't been in there for ages but from memory also close to
the beach.

Hi Mike and Kendra.
Have a look at this link. We used to
camp there and fish years ago.

As mentioned above,
Wauraltee Beach is a good (sans facilities ) option. Also the
camp spots just north of
Balgowan (
Tiparra Rocks, Pt. Elizabeth,
The Gap (drop
toilet).
All pretty good in decent conditions. Can be a little unpleasant with a strong blow (like most beachside campsites).
Cheers,
Mark

Blown to billyo at
Stenhouse Bay but that was September. Calm in the evening but came in after midnight and little sleep after that.
