Hi all
Thanks to Coops & Joc 45 for
well wishes for our trip to
Rudall River had fantastic trip not even one
puncture between 4 vehicles . We were probably the third people to go through this season , tracks are absolutly devastated as are Carrawine
Gorge &
Running Waters .
Bore at 8 ks from southern end of park almost inoperative tried to pull up & repair but because of flooding debri must have lodged on pump & it jammed about 12 foot up in casing so we had to put it back down & recouple it .You could get a drink if you were desperate .
Cheers Dingdong

Hi Dingdong
Great to hear you had a great time out there at
Rudall River. I love that area and we head off next week go out the Tallawana Track and on to the CSR north bound. One of our first stops is planned for the
bore at the southern end. Was there 2 years ago so will be interesting to see what is like now. Heard about
Carawine Gorge and
Running Waters, a bit sad as these were very pretty spots.
Can you give a bit more detail on the conditions along Tallawana Track.

Will be heading out there soon too Dingdong. Were supposed to have done the trek already but a quite significant event has put it on hold. Looking at about September sometime I think.
Probably will take Kidson track out but not sure at this stage.
Have seen photos of
Carawine Gorge and can't believe it's the same place. Mother Nature is an amazing woman that's for sure.

Hi Guy's
All the roads in the East
Pilbara Shire are in good condition at the moment as they have been freshly graded or perhaps I should have said most of them . Part of the Skulls Springs road is still closed due to flood damage but is ok by 4x4 met guy at Carrawine who had towed trailer through .The track across to Nifty & Woody Woody from the road up through centre of
Rudall River is not navigable at the moment .Talawana track has just been graded &flood damage repaired to Cotton Creek .All tracks in park are badly flood damaged & are very slow going & quite difficult to negotiate wouldnt advise taking atrailer in . Cotton Creek community is a credit to the management of Steve Shilkins & his staff fuel is available also a good range of healthy food & vege although depends a bit on when truck gets in , is best to ring first to make arrangements . Just dont be in a hurry when you go there as it does not happen quickly .
Hope this cover's most of it .
Cheers Dingdong .
