Does anyone know of storage yards for caravans around Sydney? Our much travelled Aussie Swag Camper fits in the yard, but for various reasons we are downgrading to a caravan. Hope to have it on the road as much of the time as possible, but need somewhere to put it when we are home. The Sydney Caravan Parks don't have room for long term storage, and we have found one yard out Galston way. Anyone know of any others please? Max

In Adelaide, National Storage will do this, so I would assume the same in your state.

16 foot caravan = $16.00 @ week.

I would visit the local storage places near where you live, most of them seem to have a van or boat or two sitting in the yard.

G'Day Max,
You could try Camden Caravans. I'm not sure if they still do it, but it might be worth the asking.

Neales Storage at Berrilee 02 9655 1682, just up the road from Berowra Waters and they are good for boats, too. Ask for John or Sandy.

Thanks to everyone for your comments.

I didn't follow up all the ones south because I am at Eastwood, but as a summary:

John Neales is about $187 a quarter in the open, $330 under cover. He is the specialist, and has van washing facilities, personal security etc. Access for vans is via Dural and a bit of a haul on country roads but seems ok

For shorter terms, Storage King at Lane Cove, Storage Aust at Hornsby are about $170 a month, both ok for a shorter time. All Storage at Mayfield (Newcastle) looked a goer if we were coming and from north and going that way next time - save the van on the freeway - $86 a month outside.

Thanks again for your help
Max
