There have been posts on other forums with favorable reports . One in Tas traveling to different places. A few across the Nullarbor with very good reports, one said he used FTA streaming and never deployed his VAST between Sydney and Perth. There have been reports of reception north of the official zone.

I've had one for about 8 months. Works very well (100% uptime and terrific up and download speeds) in the 100% coverage areas (which is most of the southern half of Oz and most of eastern Qld). I have also found it works quite well in the rest of Oz with about 80% or more uptime. Outages in the northern half of Oz are as short as a few milliseconds up to 10 or 20 seconds. Uptime will increase to 100% as Elon sets up more satellites and ground stations. When the system is up, it still has those great up and download speeds.

There are two options. Cost to purchase the gear is the same for each option. The “permanent” option requires you to have a registered address and is a bit cheaper per month. However if you don’t use your dish, you still pay. And if you want to take your dish away with you (travelling) there is then a surcharge for that period of time while you are “roaming”. The other option allows you to suspend your plan for as long as you want, and then activate it for when you need it (min one month) but is a “best available service” so you may have reduced speeds or even no service if you are in a cell that is already at its capacity limit.
