Hi,
My Samsung TAB just did an update of Traveller and Tracker, however, Traveller hangs at the blank screen with the round Exploroz Traveller logo in the middle.
Settings tells me Traveller version is 8.1.00

Any ideas?

I would have thought that this was a common problem that could be addressed here saving a lot of requests to the help desk.

Phew I was worried there, same for me on my tablet Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and Nokia 8.3 5G phone. Reported to the help desk. Just checking out the app in a pre-trip check. We should have been on the road for three weeks by now, but were delayed by a bout of the Covid. I think it is well worth reporting on the forum as it lets members know that it's not something they are doing. I've been faffing around for three hours trying to work out what was going on.

After a hiccup withe the phone on 8.1.1 (required clearing the maps database and reinstalling EOTopo 2023.1), all now ok with both devices.

Thanks David for your extensive help.

Hi folks,

It appears there is an issue with the newer database drivers when maps are installed on Android using the SD card in 8.1.0 and this was missed or not reported during Beta.

I have just published 8.1.1 for Android only into the Google Play store and have reverted back to the older drivers. This should be available in the next hour or so and will correct the issue. When this installs your device will just start to operate and you can do the maps update etc. You will however have to close and restart the app.

Could anyone experiencing this issue in v8.1 please update to the fix we just released in Playstore (v8.1.1) and confirm if it's fixed? We need confirmation that this is resolved please.
Thanks Michelle

We now have confirmation that people previously affected from the 8.1 update have successfully updated to 8.1.1 and the issue is resolved.
Thanks all,

Have you tried restarting your TAB? That might help. If that doesn't do the trick, could you give us a few more details on the type of Samsung TAB you have, as well as the version of Android its running? That could make it a bit easier to troubleshoot.
