hi everyone,
I have seen a couple of (archived) threads that have said it is possible to direct download apps to this headunit via the play store.
has anyone actually done this? I've been searching for quite a while and have no idea how to get to the play store.
Thanks

Don't know the particular unit but if it runs Android you just need to connect to your wifi or setup a hotspot on your phone. Once you have connectivity you can download any compatible App.
I have added Sygic, Fuelmap etc

I think it's a proprietary operating system, but might just be layered over android, not sure.
the staff reply on this post suggests its possible but I think they've got the wrong unit or something. have done quite a bit of searching and haven't found any Kenwood unit that can access the play store.

I have that head unit, what apps do you wantto download onto it? I was under the impression that it only looked at the compatible apps off your phone

I just Googled that model - downloaded the manual and there is a section about using apps - mirroring only no Playstore.
