G'Day Guys,
Well I've finally made a long drawn out decision and am replacing the tyres with Cooper ST 265/75R16 10 ply.
The National Distributor and evey shop outlet I have called sell them at the RRP of $288 with some places being dearer.
Is there anywhere in the SW Sydney area that sell them cheaper than this.
Thanx
Shawn

Shawn ,

I just got exactly that tyre put on my 100 T/D last Friday at ARB Northside at Artarmon in Sydney . The price was as you quoted and I could not get a cheaper price either - and I tried all over .

I reckon if they knew how hard the 10 ply were to get on to the rims , they would charge an extra $30.00 a tyre . The guys at ARB were really working up a sweat and it would have taken them twice as long as ordinary A/T's .

Shawn,

If you are willing to go for a bit of a drive, give Rod from Spence's Tyre Service at Miranda a call (02) 9524 6144. I got my Cooper's there as have a few others. They are located at 526 Kingsway Miranda.

cheers,
Sam.

Hi Shawn,
Just bought replacement cooper s/t's yesterday. this time i went up to the 285's
got 5 tyres and a new white roh 16x 8 trak 2 for $1540. i think the wheel was $100 so 1440 for 5 tyres fitted and balanced. so that means i paid $288 for 285's doesn't it? Rod Spence at Miranda, and a top bloke as well. I bought my last set of 265's there and went to him for teh 10000 k rotates and checks. If you want to come in a little closer to town you can't go too wrong by using him.

As above try Spence's at Miranda. I was there just yesterday enquiring about 265/75/16 in ST's, Their price is $275 fitted and balanced.
Am still tossing up between the ST's and BFG's, the BFG's in the same tyre are only $238, other factor I only just discovered is the speed rating, the BFG's are S rated (180Km/h) the coopers only N rated which is 140Km/h, not that i'll be doing 140Km/h but may get close to it at times.

Another vote for Spences. Even if you paid more, great after sales service. They'll even sell your old ones if they're any good.
