Just wondering if those coming will have kids? If so how old are they? We will have 4 with us. Boy 6 and 3 girls 9,12 and 14. If they are the only ones coming we will look for a sitter for the weekend.

Hi Brew, not sure about some, but Roachie has 3 boys so your 6y/o will be OK, and Gerk has 3 girls about the age of yours, Dean said he has kids and David usually brings his son, out of 15 likely participants at this stage, I know 6 wont have any, so that leaves 4 or 5 that I havent met, some of who will have kids but not sure as yet, perhaps they could post you reply's.
The day picnic I first invisaged then turned into an overnighter has now turned into a w/end, so I have been busy ringing around contacts trying to find a spot that suits most including those who want to come on either day. More will be posted as soon as more is confirmed, but looks like it may be near Murray Bridge at this stage, but not on the river for those with KIDS.

The Berri "sand bar" could be still available. Nice and close to home for me.

My original spot was Tiddy Widdy beach until some mexicans showed some interest, and if I dont get some positives from them it will probably be back there, plenty of room and some sand driving as well.

A couple of Questions re Tiddy Widdy Beach.
Will the crabs be running
Will the tides be right
Will the weather be calm
Do you know where the channel is.

Yes there will be Crabs somewhere probably in the water !
Yes there will be tides !
Yes there will be weather and they promised it will be calm !
Yes !

From last post:
Berri beach a little to far for Adelaide day trippers, so why dont you want to travel? Surely not long pockets and short arms syndrome !

My names not Roachie. I only suggested as a safe spot for kids.
Anywhere else is fine by me.

Sand is good. Mud is better!

I haven't done too much sand work as yet. That means that I could be of entertainment value to you old hands until I get the hang of it.

If I come along (very busy here at the moment), I'll have the 2 boys (7 & 5yo) and 1 girl (2yo).

Might even bring the wife too, if the girlfriend is too busy......

Pesty, be very careful mate.

I remember The Brewman used to have as his signature something about who wants his kids or something.

This might be a plot to lose his kids in the crowd, then make a run for it.

When he arrives, put a steering lock on his 4 x 4, take a census, and don't let him leave until the sums add up......LOL!!

Cheers

My kids are grown up, and I don't see them much, but they still keep me poor Wolf......

Maybe we should all head for Oodnadatta.......I hear they've got a great crache there (the cop shop) where you can drop your kids off and head off into the wild blue for a bit of 4 wheelin' without them screaming in the back seat....LOL
