Just went down to the local Whitworths who were having a 15% off everything instore and got an EPIRB for our upcoming trip. Once there I was like a fat kid in a lolly store. Ended up spending a fortune. Most exciting is the new double horn I got. It's rather large and in my excitement, didn't really think about where I will fit it. Think i'll mount it on the roof cage when we get the Open Sky. Anyway, this thing is LOUD! It's a bloody ferry horn or something. Right now the Troopy has this bleep y little horn that sounds like a dying cow, but not for long, hehehe.

Rock..(hop)...On

Mate, think I might have to. Just have to convince the boss first. I'm taking her out for driver training next weekend, so we can put it into practice at Bendethra.

Hope u learned your lesson. never, ever go to Whitworths with a credit card and full wallet.!!!!!

And just forget they have this fabuluous order system If they don't have it, almost next day and they call u as well.

Man, those stores are dangerous. I speak from deep personal experience.
Cheers

I know, the service is excellent. So many places these days have totally crap service I find, but Whitworths is one of the exceptions. They had a selection of 6 horns. And they were testing them in the store for me. Man they were loud. We were having a great time with it. "Umm, can I just listen to that one again, mmmm, how did that one sound"

I think that is just priceless!

I love to go to a shop and come out with something so............. so............. well, so ambiguous (sp).

It's neat just coming home and showing Tracy something I've bought, and she says "What, Where, Why,When.........."

Good work. You will have hours of fun with your new aquisition!

Cheers

Hey there,

I got the RWB 939. It was the best that they had there coz it was the meatiest sounding. Some sounded like trumpets, and mere nasally. This one isn't exactly a fog horn, but it's deeper than the rest of them. It isn't small though, fitting it under your BB wouldn't be fun. I'm thinking mines going to have to go on the roof. Other wise, underneath, but then it will have to point sideways. It's about 50cm long and 10-12cm wide. It's a dual one though, you can get em smaller, but then the pitch gets higher.

Good Luck!!!
