I am planning a trip travelling Northbound up the
Canning Stock Route starting in
Wiluna around mid-April 2026 but need at least another vehicle to go with (or a group who I can join on to).
I am an experienced 4x4 driver with good mechanical ability and have set up my vehicle specifically for this trip. There will be 2 of us travelling in my vehicle.

What vehicle may be significant to some?
Cheers,
Peter

mine is a 150 Series Toyota Prado. The track isn't suitable for anyone without a
well set up 4WD and not recommended for those who want to tow a trailer.

Personally, I would not travel any significant trip with anyone that I did not know really
well.
There are many who travel the Canning solo.
Personally, I would prefer to travel north to south to keep the sun behind you and not in your face.

I have done the CSR south to north & would recommend that you not be put off by people telling you to do it the other way. Certainly no offence intended by my comment. But when we done it, we hardly seen a cloud for the whole trip& in our patrol I certainly wasn’t put off by the sun. I’m in half a mind to do it again next year but I’m having a couple of rounds of surgery & not sure that I would be fit enough by April. Will certainly keep it in mind. We’re in our early 70s & this time I would take the KK.
