Paul, the videos were taken with a Panasonic DMC-FT30 camera mounted on the top of the instrument panel of the OKA.
The OKA handles the corrugations better than almost anything, so don't be fooled, they can be pretty bad.
A lot of the SA side is also pretty scratchy.
The WA side was graded in 2025, so will now be deteriorating again, but is generally better than the SA side.
As I said earlier, some of the SA side has been graded just recently, but I don't know how much. I would be surprised if it went past Emu, but I really don't know.
Sand is not an issue and the most common wildlife is camels. Don't hit one of those.
The
Great Victoria Desert is a beautiful piece of country. Slow down and enjoy it.
What are you driving?
Cheers,
Peter
