Has anybody recently done the Bore Track, I would be interested to know what it is like. I believe you have to pay a small amount at the homestead, $7.00?

Shaker,
Now $10 per car. Well worth the $.
Camp anywhere and use whatever firewood you like. This was what we were told in June when we went thru.
We did not see another car in the 2 days we were on the track(This is counting a very long overnight camp)
There are a huge number of pretty camp spots in the sand dunes in Bollards Lag area.
This track was one of the highlights of our trip. Again well worth the $10.

Hi Shaker,

Vince is right it will cost you $10 to drive the track and it is very pretty.

In terms of driving it is mostly easy going. Primarily on sand with a bit of clay. It carries a bit of traffic but like Vince we saw no others on the track while we were there.

We used it as a shortcut on our return from Birdsville to Broken Hill and just drove through. It saved us aout 3hrs and a fair bit in fuel costs thus aking the $10 a pretty good investment.

just to be different!!

Agree with all before, but we passed about nine cars in two groups while we were there..

Some of the corners and crests are blind, so watch your speed in case there is something coming.

Aside from that, well worth using
