Has anybody recently done the
Bore Track, I would be interested to know what it is like. I believe you have to pay a small amount at the
homestead, $7.00?

Shaker,
Now $10 per car.
Well worth the $.
Camp anywhere and use whatever firewood you like. This was what we were told in June when we went thru.
We did not see another car in the 2 days we were on the track(This is counting a very long
overnight camp)
There are a huge number of pretty
camp spots in the sand dunes in Bollards Lag area.
This track was one of the highlights of our trip. Again
well worth the $10.

Hi Shaker,
Vince is right it will cost you $10 to drive the track and it is very pretty.
In terms of driving it is mostly easy going. Primarily on sand with a bit of clay. It carries a bit of traffic but like Vince we saw no others on the track while we were there.
We used it as a shortcut on our return from
Birdsville to
Broken Hill and just drove through. It saved us aout 3hrs and a fair bit in fuel costs thus aking the $10 a pretty good investment.
