Korean WHV Quest: Private Land Bushcraft Access?

G'day everyone,

I’m Yejun, a Working Holiday Visa (WHV) maker from South Korea. I came to Australia with a personal mission: to test whether outdoor exploration and traditional bushcraft are truly my life's passion.

My dream is to experience short, 1-night bushcraft stays in regional Australia—building temporary A-frame shelters strictly using fallen timber, managing small campfires safely, and strictly adhering to Leave No Trace (LNT) principles. If I find that this lifestyle truly sparks my soul, I plan to dedicate my life to this path.

Before committing 3 months to farm work for my 2nd visa, I want to ask experienced Aussie locals:
How realistic is it to get permission from local farmers or private property owners for short overnight bushcraft stays?

Coming from Korea, respecting Australian laws and local property rights is my highest priority. Do local landowners generally open up if approached politely with proof of respect for their land, or do public liability insurance and safety concerns make private land access practically impossible across states?
