Try the wreckers, we got a good steel one to replace the aluminium one that rattled to bits. It was a bit rusty but cleaned up
well think it was about $300 but a fair while ago

We had 2 built this week for a
Sydney business on 2 new Rodeo 4wd single cabs,
they were $1900 ea powdercoated/fitted incl hoop bar incl dropsides incl tie rails & step with no toolboxes.
The particular business that wanted them has had one of theirs before, & he likes them due to heavy duty bearers & quality steel they use as he overloads them regularly, so when he wanted the vehicles he said providing same tray as we got last year so was happy.
We had quote from Melb $1600 in kit form from
Brisbane manufacturer & only
grey, not powdrecoated to vehicle colour so I think $1900 was reasonable for quality
You get what you pay for
They were from Close Engineering Finley 0358831002 & were only 72 hrs from order unlike city orders weeks ahead, & Closes would be 3 hrs from Ford Factory in Melb, or there would be trucks from their town in Melb daily for delivery I imagine
We also have tray from ST Patrol Aluminium Ex Govt sitting here $200

I know a bloke who was making steel trays for new toyota hilux's, but the dealer changed owners and was stuck whith a couple. they are a top notch profesional job.
he was selling the ones he had left for $500.00 each. That does not even cover the cost of materials.
post here if you want his Ph #
Its in
Geelong.
