Does any one know what the road thru' this park and Chowilla Regional reserve is like? Planning to go from Mildura to Yunta via VIC, SA, NSW corner and these parks soon. Also is there a way to cross the Murray between Renmark and the "corner" or do we have to go into Renmark?

Good dirt roads through Dangalli NP, and the camping area near the Canopus homestead/station usually has a good supply of old fence posts to burn, and 1/2 drum fire pits.

Mopoke hut in Sunset country is a good place to stay as well, toilets, fire pits, clean hut.

see http://www.lcool.org/trips/double_simpson_2004/trip_up/simpson_up.html for some gps logs, pics etc of the area.

Roads are not a problem. Went to Danggalli a couple of weeks ago in a 2WD sedan. Only way across the river is Renmark or Wentworth.
