G'day Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone manufactures parabolic leaf springs to suit the MQ/MK patrol? Seen plenty of kits for cruisers and hiluxs but never patrols...

Aside from that, can anyone recommend any regular leaf kits (or company in general) out on the market? I am trying to find something cheap and comfortable (as opposed to prohibitively expensive and rock bloody hard like my old OEM spings). To people who have replaced OEM leaf spings - is the ride difference that noticable?

Cheers!
Dave.

Dave,
It is a bit hard to answer your question if we don't know what state you are in.
If you are in NSW and Sydney you could try Lovells springs or Better springs. Both can be found in the phone book. They should be able to make springs that you want or have them on the shelf.

Thanks for the reply Wayne. I am in WA - didnt think state would matter that much since I thought a lot of companies would have to freight them interstate anyway maybe??

I have read some posts in the past about new leaf springs where people have gone "my new springs were so rock hard I had to take a leaf or two out..." etc - thats why im just after any opinions like "i bought XX brand springs and they were great".

I looked at the lovells, and am awaiting more info on the 4wdsystems 60mm lift leaf kit which seems pretty good value for money. One mob a few months ago said "if its anything like the cruisers, it'll be $3-4 thousand"! (that sent me running from that shop!).

Cheers.
Dave.
