Having some good rain falling west of the Divide at Captains Flat. Need about a week of it to get some decent run off.

Geez, a bit picky aren't we, Paul. Just send it all to Sydney. We don't care if it rains on the weekend - we just put our muddies on!

Good to hear it anyway.

Probably can't make it this weekend. Looking forward to Phillip Island though!

Baz,
Hilux isnt too bad, fortunately even though tail shaft came out we've refitted it and new u bolts and there doesnt seem to be any damage to diff housing/axles. Drives ok without vibration.
Has been inspected and is booked in at panel basher on 13th for a couple of weeks. a couple of new doors, new sill rail, bit of cut and shut on rear quarter panel, new mudguards under table top and a new brush bar and step.
Only mechanical work is new handbrake cable and a few handbrake levers/mounts.

Should have it back for the school holidays which is good as I am being forced to take some excess holidays. Just got to work out where to go.

thanks for asking,
regards
Howard

Hi to you too Mike, hope your taking the time to chill out mate. Dont work too hard ok.

Anyone heard from Mick & Ilene lately. Seems they vanished. or maybe i just havent seen them in here. Anyway, if anyone spots them tell them i say G'day.

Hi Angelo

Me? Work too hard? Oh come now! I've been doing that for a lot of years, but the "slow down" instructions from the doctor (blood pressure)came at a quite opportune time. Just coasting now and loving it!

I've seen a couple of posts from fatz but nothing in the last week or so.

Seeya..

Good rains along the Barrier Highway (the main drag from the capital city of Broken Hill, which is Adelaide). The local graziers have done it tough for a while, so lets hope for more.

Dunno how far east it went.

Also more rain in the Flinders.......looks like I'll get mud, not dirt on SHIRL when I go up there next week...........

We've had some good rain too (Wamboin). The above map tells the story. There is no grass on the ground- the roos are just sucking the dirt. Dams are empty. Even 100 year old gums are dying and falling over. We got 22 ml over night, and a further 5.5 during the day, but its been raining steadily for the last few hours :-)

Wow, another 25 mm at least (gauge overflowing at 2200), and lots more to come: http://mirror.bom.gov.au/products/IDR403.loop.shtml
