Yes Baz that's another great spot. Can you fish there anymore with all the ski boats though? I notice in his signature file that he likes to fish. I should have mentioned that Narrabeen fish is a great fishing beach - with the odd tailer run in season etc.

If fishin is your game then Brooklyn near the Hawkesbury bridge or around the corner near the oyster farms.

I stronly disagree with Wombat. I've lived in Sydney (on the coastal beaches) a long time & travelled a fair bit in Aus & O/S. In my opinion Sydney is the best> Why do you think the real estate prices are so high???

I know a bloke who went to Sydney once. He came in via the Great Western Freeway, got to the top of the run down to Penrith around 6.30 at night, saw all the lights, bleep himself and drove back to Adelaide.

Why are realestate prices so high? Damn good question, look at all the trendys that live there.

I wasn't actually intending to denegrate Sydney. What I was suggesting was that the roads leading OUT OF ANY CITY were preferable to the ones leading in. I love the view of Melbourne each night in my rear view mirrors as I head for the peace and quiet of our rural home.

Your question regarding the best place to camp to view Sydney is a hard one as Sydney is such a large place. We are surrounded by many National Parks, you would have to check them out at the NPWS Site but I dont think they like camping very much.

To view the size of Sydney I think the best place is Centre Point Tower, from it you can see just how big a city Sydney is. Sydney is not the CBD although as its near the harbour much of it is very picturesque.

We live but 45 minutes from the CBD but have National Parks and fishing and waterways within easy walking distance. I have taken a few shots of my morning walk plus the moods of the bay for you to see just what the "Modern Birthplace of Australia" looks like and judge for yourselves. It could be more commercially presented and the NWPS is working on that over the next few years.

More people are leaving sydney than movin into it... Check the figures on central coast, and qld, and perth, and vic, and sa etc...

Remember nobody knows where kurnell is or anythin' about it, its one of the most important places in the country, but its more of a void! Mayas well be living in Wheelabarrowback.
