Your question regarding the best place to
camp to view
Sydney is a hard one as
Sydney is such a large place. We are surrounded by many National Parks, you would have to
check them out at the NPWS Site but I dont think they like camping very much.
To view the size of
Sydney I think the best place is Centre Point Tower, from it you can see just how big a city
Sydney is.
Sydney is not the CBD although as its near the harbour much of it is very picturesque.
We live but 45 minutes from the CBD but have National Parks and fishing and waterways within easy walking distance. I have taken a few shots of my morning walk plus the moods of the bay for you to see just what the "Modern Birthplace of Australia" looks like and judge for yourselves. It could be more commercially presented and the NWPS is working on that over the next few years.
