The owner's manual which comes with the Garmin GPSMAP60C does not mention all the screens avalaible to the the unit when switch to Land or Marine.
Has ayone got any more info/ reference manual or websites (not garmin) on this new release (2004) Garmin GPSMAP60C?
Garmin support being unhelpfull at the moment.
Cheers Guy

It didnt come with a manual?
If you think something is wrong, then take it back to the
shop and ask them to show you..

Guy,
The answer seems not to be documented in the manual, but for my 60CS I have a solution although it's a bit cumbersome as you have to deselect the land maps to stop them being displayed.
Display the Map Page, press Menu & select Setup Map, press Entr.
Using the scroll button, scroll down till the land map name you want to turn off is displayed, you'll see they all have a 'tick' in the Show field by default.
When the Land Map name is displayed, press Entr to un-check the 'show' field & you'll see the land map is no longer displayed & if there is a marine map then it will show.
I'm unsure if there is a way to turn off all the land maps (City Navigator Australia) in one go, for me to show the marine charts around
Sydney I have to uncheck 3 maps of parts of
Sydney.
If you want to turn the City Navigator maps on again, just re-check the 'show' field again pressing Entr.
Hope this helps.

Jeff
Thanks for this excelletn tip.
I did not know about this one. This is excellent
I use this one
I am in MAP > MENU > SETUPMAP > ENTER
at the TOP there are 6 little icons.
I scroll horizontally to the "I" icon which I guess stands for INFORMATION.
Then press MENU
then a drop menu appears
RESTORE DEFAULTS
RESTORE ALL MAP DEFAULTS
SHOW ALL
SHOW NONE
SHOW BASEMAP
SHOW BLUECHART PACIFIC
HIDE CITY NAVIGATOR AUST
I scroll and HIDE or SHOW the general set of MAPS.
To really hide the basemap, the text should say "SHOW" which is confusing.
But I am sure there are some other commands for the Marine chart.
