hey everyone,
Just wondering if an upgraded exhaust on a 4 cyl turbo diesel is worth the money.
Does fuel economy go down with a bigger exhaust (like my v8 commodore did)
Also wondering if there's anyone in
sydney that you'de recommend to do the work.
thanks guys.

conman, I am not the one to help you but you know that a little detail as to what motor and vehicle you are talking about will help anyone answer you. As for
Sydney, each workshop to it's own specialty too..........

A bigger exhaust won't give you all that much better economy because the turbo is the greatest restriction.
However, if you did replace it with a bigger one, the turbo would spool up easier and also the engine and turbo should run cooler so have better longevity.
Another option is to just replace the middle muffler with a straight pipe. This is a common mod on landie Tdi's and doesn't increase noise. Its also very cheap and any exhaust place could do it for you.
