I need some fellow forumites to test out some rear draws , cars have to be 80 or 100 series . as these are the only models ready for testing. You either need to be a trade'y who carries lots of heavy tools or someone who travels over rough terrain frequantly . I prefure if you are in Victoria , as this will make it easier for inspections .

Hope to hear back from a couple of people.

It will be possible to mount your fridge in 2 possitions , One high , one low mount and yes it does slide . Let me know of what trips ypu have planned , as to see if its suitible for what our needs are . We need to put these draws through hell and back as to test our rails ect.

Thanks for the responce .

Hi Eric,

I am looking for some rear drawers for my new 100 series.
Although i am i plumber by trade I am in Hardware sales and i currently use 4 large plastic boxes that dont last too long as i zig zag NSW with all my samples. (We sell Architectural door handles and Hinges and the like) Added to this is my engel fridge that also needs to be secured in one position. When i am not working i am travelling so they need to be Tough as they are in use 7 days a week.
I would carry a few hundred kilos at any one time.

I have spent many hours comparing the 'outback' versus the 'Dept of interior'.
I have once considered making my own but thats too hard, so i would be very interested to see what you can offer. Do you offer a fridge slide combo?
Are they Steel, Alloy, or timber? I am in Sydney but may be in Melb before the end of the year.
Cheers

David

Ozman , you sound like the perfect candidate , exept that you are in Sidney , I have already found 2 people in Melbourne , and this will make inspection so much easy'r.

Well thats why we test things , and thats why we offer draws to people who are willing to test them . Sorry but that really is a silly reply .

What happens if they break ? well thats what we want , we want them to go to hell and back , if they break , we need to see why. Hopefully they test well . But why put a untested product on the market ?

Apologies if you think it's a silly reply/question. However to the poor bunny thats out in the middle of nowhere its not a silly question if your product fails. I'm afraid it's a question that you have not considered and one that requires consideration before people go testing your product. I can think of nothing worse than a couple with 2 children testing your product in 'hell' and it failing. They now have to consider their options - something that I strongly suggest they do before they set out, and one that you should ask them to consider prior to travelling. Sure we hope that all goes OK, but you are asking people to TEST your product in extreme areas, by definition you are hoping that it has been made robust enough - but what if it has not?

Are you offering any support to people who take your product and have it fail some distance from help, or do they just have to do the best they can? Hope your screening process ensures that people understand what they are letting themselves in for, and the risks.

Do you actually think ? or just borred ?

Sorry PCD I will be harsh with my words . if you are travelling with Kids , I dought I would have picked you for the perfect candidate to test my draws . I have had 60 email from people intersted in taking part in my test , out of that I have picked 3 . Thats 3 people who are getting Free draws , but know they have them to TEST them and give me feed back , and also alow me to inspect them after every trip . I also may change things as the test continues . But that info is for people who have contacted me. It really freaks me out . that you have taken the time to make jugment on what some one is doing . Please look at everyones reply . All sensible questions, then i have you come along.

if you have a serious question please ask it .

Eric,

when ready send details to ozman@bigpond.net.au

I am in the market for some drawers.

Also I have a range of stainless steel hardware, locks, flush pulls and the like that you may be interested in. I can post you a catalogue. We may also be able to supply the Roller bearings for the drawer slides should you require a decent Quantity > 500 - 1000 pcs.

Cheers
