Hi all
I have removed a winch from the Bocar bullbar on my recently purchased 80 Series Landcruiser. This has left a large gap in the middle of the lower section of the bullbar where the winch was bolted in. Although I plan to move the number plate from the side to the middle I am still left with finding something to fill in
the gap - any ideas would be appreciated (except to refit the winch).
Another option might be to swap anyone who may be looking to install a winch and would saving cutting a hole for it.
Thanks
The Pelican

G'day mate,
You're probably right that there could
well be an 80 series owner kicking around who wants to add a winch but doesn't have the right bullbar. And for that bloke, it's not just a case of cutting a slot in the existing non-winch bullbar he might already have......the construction of the 2 different sorts of bullbar is fairly different. It's not a worthwhile exercise.
So my advice would be to advertise your bar in the Trader section and mention that you'd be willing to swap for a non-winch bar.
Good luck.
Otherwise, just get a piece of plate (aluminium chequerplate would look okay) and pop-rivet it over the slot.

I have just done the same.
Solved the prob by plating where the control box was with a metal insert underneath and bolted to the top of the bar.
As for the front gap where the wire etc was I went to Auto
barn ang got a bug/insect protector called a universal mesh and cut it to fit behind the bar.
it looks the part.

Hi Pelican,
Where abouts are you, I would be interested in a swap if it could be arranged. I live in the N/W of
Sydney. My email is gjgrant@hotkey.net.au.
