I have had GREAT feed back about the engel in the 100 series running on 1 battery. Thanks ALL!!

Now I have decided to rewire the standard rear power outlet to operate all the time.
Has anyone done this? How was it done?
It only works of the Accessories Circuit at the moment.

Cheers David

PS. If iget a flat battery in the middle of nowhere i will be calling on all formites that advised 1 battery is okay/good --- to come save me!!!
Look out for my smoke signals as my radios will be out of order!!

If you can afford a 100series you can afford an auxilliary battery. Why stuff around?

Yes they do come standar but you are much better off to stik to the petrol and have the necessary things moved to accommodate the second battery. If you are going to trade on the Landie then wait for the complete new model in 2006.

Ozman,

Great Feedback???

The sensible replies in your previous post recommended you install a second battery. The reason for this is you may not always be in a position to run your vehicle every day to charge your one and only battery. (You may even just forget)

If your (one and only) battery is drained, then to put it simply YOU ARE STUFFED.

The security of having an alternate supply for your Fridge and maybe other accessories is well worth the initial investment.

If your budget is limited you can restrict yourself to a simple mechanical isolator and a second "starting" battery.

If your main battery packs it up in a remote location, you can use the second battery to start the vehicle.

Just commonsense Mate, IMHO.
