Can't help you there, but is your EO handle based upon Fat Boy Slims Rockefella Skank?

Cheers

Hi funksoulbruffa,

I get 11.3 l/100km on city/freeway driving and 15.7 l/100km towing my 1.6T van, genearlly cruising at 100km/hr. On the odd occasion I do a country run without the van I get mid 10's. For a 2.4T vehicle with the aerodynamics of a brick, I am very satisfied.

Cheers

Captain

Hey Captain,

Sounds like our mate Niki has a bit of an axe to grind......get ready for a bit of a rough ride......

Niki, have you been on here before in another guise? You sound just like another "pleaseant" soul we had on here about a year ago who seemed to have nothing better to do than slag off at everbody. Mate, if that's how you get your jolly's go right ahead; just be aware that the rest of us all think you need to change hands when you reach 99.

Hi Roachie,

Ya gotta feel sorry for these guys. They haven't got a life and try to invent one. They just get jealous of people with real 4WD's who really use them, so try to lower us to their level ;) They will soon blow away, just like a bad smell.

Cheers mate

Captain

Haven't had mine long enough to work out an average yet but it's about 12L/100kms for an auto based on my limited use.

My local dealer had it about 2 months on the yard I 've had it ten days so you are nearly right.

Don't forget Roachie's advice and change hands at 99, if you can get that far.

With apologies to those of you who have tried to convert me into talking litre per 100 kms, i still think in kms per litre. We got 7.65 kms/litre ave, travelling fairly fast, across Australia. Returning pulling a heavy caravan, not quite so fast but still not taking it easy got 4.83 kms per litre. Disappointed with the towing - but i have found that no matter what we drive, we won't do a lot better. Prior to that I did a test on the first tank after we bought it and got 7.75 kms per litre - mainly open road, some city driving. I have participated several times on similar discussion, so do a search. Ours is Auto too.

C'mon Niki, play nice or don't play at all.

Now stand in the corner and don't come back till you learn to play nice!

I mean it....! Now get into that corner young man and all I want to see is you Tookus staring back at me.

C,mon I am losing patience....! Don't make me get the strap now!

I've been really dissapointed of late with my fuel economy. Last Saturday I did a trip from Wollongong to Wellington and back and used approx 95 Litres. (main tank) that's about 840 Kilometres and if my maths correct thats about 11.2 Litres to 100K.
And that was driving at a snails pace most of the way.

That isn't driving from Wollongong NSW to Wellington NZ I hope LOL. Sorry I couldn't help that.

It would however explain driving at a snails place.

I wonder what you drive. I can only dream about those figures with 14l/100K being a good figure in my book at the moment driving V6 Jackaroo 3.2L.

On delivery, new, in May 2004, my 3.0 Ltr TD Auto returned 11.73 L/100 km on a trip Sydney/Echuca/Sydney.

Towing my 1.5 tonne boat, Sydney/Adaminaby/Sydney, at highway speeds of between 100/110 kph, it has returned 16.5 L/100 km.

Around town it is averaging around 14.38 L/100 km

As the kilometers mount up, I expect the consumption to improve but in any event, these figures are (as expected) so much better than my previous 4.5 l petrol GU Patrol, I am more than happy.
