My family and I (wife and 2
young boys) will be travelling to Tasmania next year with a campervan. We would like to hear from anyone that can advise us of any reasonably priced/clean caravan parks or any
places that we MUST visit or steer clear of.
Thanks for the advice.
Casso.

Andrew
We're off towards the end of next year, just planning a little early.
Would like to hear all your stories when you get back.

Mom and Pops Travel
Park in
St Helens is a great one . Just look for the
sign out the front with the two headed children on it. They have his and hers bathrooms, trouser snake washrooms and quadroople beds in the on site vans.

Tassie - my pride and joy. I love this place. Check out my link on www.gossadventures.com
Must see is
Strahan (and
Gordon River), Lake St Clair, Pt Arthur,
Coles Bay,
Cradle Mountain. Drive thru
Queenstown but don't stay there. It's dirty, feral and expensive but it is still worth a look at least.
Hobart has all the usual city stuff to do including Mt
Wellington. Chocolate factory and brewery tours are also available for Cascade and Boags I think.
Keep at least three days for
Strahan. Heaps to do there. Buggy riding in the Henty
Sand Dunes, great restaurants, walks,
Gordon River boat cruise and the plane flight which lands at Sir John Falls.
When at Lake St Clair there is also heaps of walks to do and also the ferry ride which can take you up the top of the lake.
Hope you have a great time. I can't wait to bet back there again.

thanks for
clearing that up! I didn't do the beer tours (ran out of time), but I knew of them.
Wife forced me to do the Cadbury Chocolate one though!
Forgot to mention also. If you go to
Port Arthur you will see the "Tasmanian Devil Park" close by. It's fairly poor and probably not worth the money. Would have been ok in it's day, but now very run down and fairly disapointing I thought.
