Yes,
Alot harder to come from behind and run over the opposition to get to the front.
Ford has come a long way since it has realised every car it makes doesnt have to be yellow.......

Actually a ford racing fan from way back, but have had the last 2 models of HSV Maloo R8 ute, and done some Skaife
driver training days, and been a member of the HSV club of Vic, but I did have Au2 xr8 and xr6 before that, but found the HSV resale was much better,a dn Ford didnt have a product on par witht he HSV MAloo R8 [ie leaf spring rear in falcon etc]
So I will go with what works best for me every time.

Oh
well, I am a Ford man thru and thru, must be a
Geelong thing, although Dad always drove Fords, and my grandfather used to work at the
Geelong Ford factory. Ray (Mad Dog) would say I would never look sideways at a Holden, and I must admit it is nice to have Fords at the top of the V8 supercar tree for a change, maybe
Bathurst next year?

And when FORD start advertising the fact, just ask yourself how much showroom Ford is in those cars??? Same as HOLDEN...have been running Ford rear-end for years (the 9" diff)...non Holden (hollinger) gearbox, now the Ford upper/lower control arms in front (not strut)..and the 'blueprint' engine is based on a Ford block.
So in fact- the V8 supercars is a race between Ford Falcon & Ford Commodore.
Bring back the good ole days of motor racing!!

Yea great class of racing... Give me paddlepop stick down the gutter racing over it anyday.
