This is probably the dumbest question asked here for a while: I keep finding references to "Supercheap" selling this or that at a bargain price. But who are "Supercheap"? I assume it's code for something?
It's either because I've only come to Oz a couple of yeras ago, or because I've led a very sheltered life :-)

Thanks everyone, that's cleared it up. I've never seen a branch around here in the Eastern suburbs of
Sydney, so Willem is probably right. Never seen one in
Innamincka either though :-)
I'm off to their website now, to see where the nearest branch is and if there's anything cheap and nasty I fancy...

over in w.a. they seem to have bought/replaced the marlows stores (in
perth).
not impressed with their gear, and even less impressed with the knowledge of their staff.
occaisional bargain in the cheap and nasty stakes.

They aren't the sort of place to go to to ask for advice , and they aren't the sort of place you go to to buy
tools to last a lifetime.
However , if you want a tool to do a oneoff job , or to buy stuff where you know you'll get a couple of years out of it . . . Supercheap is the place.

Mascot? Where?
I work at Mascot and that would be really convenient for me. I can't find the Mascot store on their website.
Tell me, tell me, tell me!

They have a store in Bronte rd at Bondi
junction, been open about a month, prices are not always cheap but occasional bargains can be had, you must know your stuff and what it costs elsewhere.

Your not wrong Peter,
I got a 20 ltr drum of Valvoline for my baby at a great price of $69.00. Then i decided to grab 2 oil filters (valvoline) @ 12 bucks each...after i got
home and changed the filters and oil i realised that woolies sells same filters for 8 bucks each...what i saved on the oil i payed for with the filters.....but wait....i found a solution to it..i went and bought the 2 filters from woolies and took em back to supercheap with their original docket and got my money back...lol....love it !!!!
